CSPR is proud to represent alt-pop singer Beren Olivia. In only one year the 22 year old has gone from zero to over 5 million streams, multiple spins across BBC Radio 1 and thousands of dedicated followers around the world. Whilst figures do not tell the whole story, Beren is moving the needle way beyond the norm as a completely independent artist less than a year into their journey, solely on the strength of the music and connection with her fans. Classic Album Sundays – ‘My Classic Album’ and Colleen Murphy.

The world’s biggest listening event series Classic Album Sundays, new content series My Classic Album supported by Arts Council England. The 18 episode series featured a mix of huge established artists and up and coming names like Sherelle, Nubya Garcia, Goldie, Kae Tempest, Steven Wilson, Travis Alabanza, Gary Crosby OBE, Moses Boyd, The Kooks and more. As well as handling PR for Classic Album Sundays events for the likes of Laurie Anderson. This campaign needed a strong eye for ‘news’ and wide musical knowledge of all genres from Drum & Bass, Jazz to Prog, Classic Rock and wider dance music history.

Award-winning Welsh indie-pop quintet Swnami released their new double a-side ‘Theatr/ / Uno,Cydio,Tanio’, as they work towards album #2. This the band’s introduction to UK press has seen coverage from Clash Magazine and a BBC R1 Newsbeat feature, as well as radio support 6 Music, BBC Cymru, Kerrang! Radio, Kerrang TV, Flavour Magazine and more with Huw Stephens saying: “Swnami are leading lights on the Welsh scene, their understated, confident and lush sonic journeys are a joy to listen to.”

The video for ‘Theatr’ featuring Tom Rhys Harries – star of Netflix’ White Lines premiered with Clash Magazine and was described as a ‘dreamy Welsh-language wonder’. A feature was also secured with BBC Radio 1 about the rise of Welsh-language music and Swnami at the forefront.

The lyric video for ‘Uno, Cydio, Tanio’ came shortly after which took fans on a journey into the otherworldly Motel Sŵnami – a place unlike any other. Seemingly ordinary from the outside, each room is a portal to unusual places where anything can happen.

Hailing from the Dolgellau, North West Wales, Sŵnami bring an often-overlooked identity into the fold. After hitting huge milestones with their eponymous debut album such as a BBC Maida Vale session, winning Welsh Language Album Of The Year, a Welsh Music Prize nomination and representing BBC Radio 1 at Eurosonic Festival it was time to recoup. The second chapter of Sŵnami’s career is just beginning….

aboutagirl – Tap Records

In Spring 2020 CSPR were brought onboard by Tap Music to represent aboutagirl for their single ‘SnOoZe’ as they build towards an EP (now delayed due to covid-19). The fast-rising London pop production duo consisting of Tom Mann and Lostboy are the masterminds behind tracks for a range of the biggest artists in the world right now.

Having worked on tracks with the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, Anne-Marie, Kehlani and more. Brought together by chance on a project and quickly realising they had a shared range of influences and desire to develop a sound which they could stand behind, the pair of young songwriters  set out to give their own commentary on the world around them. Early releases ‘B-List’, ‘Forest Fire’, ‘KaMiKaZe’ and ‘Deep Sea Diving’ touched on subjects such as climate change and paranoia and instantly received support from BBC Radio 1, Spotify and Clash Magazine who praised their “strong sense of narrative, and ability to step out with the norm”. With the pair back in the studio as they prepare for a 2021 release, the wheels are quietly turning for a huge year ahead.

Jackson Guitars – Slipknot Meet & Greet

CSPR was brought onboard by Jackson Guitars to spread the word for a very short notice meet-and-greet with endorsed artist Mick Thomson – known as the guitarist in the larger than life metal band Slipknot. This was to take place at independent store Guitar Guitar Birmingham before the band played the Birmingham Arena the next evening . The objective was to ensure a high level of attendance from fans and to create a genuine ‘grass roots’ feeling moment for the fans and media alike as they connected with the Jackson brand – who managed to bring them together in what is a very rare occurrence for one of the biggest bands in the world.

The brief called for strong specialist music and regional contacts across both online and broadcast media. Within 24 hours over 25 pieces of top-tier coverage was secured with a swarm of key national music and regional titles like NME, Kerrang!, Punktastic, Birmingham Mail, Shropshire star with Jackson messaging throughout and in the planning diary’s for key regional broadcast targets ITV Central and BBC Midlands Today. Attendance from award-winning photographer Katja Orgin of Getty images was confirmed to cover the event, capturing the excitement maximise potential national media reach as well as a photogrpher from the Birmingham Mail.

Word was officially out and around 500 Slipknot fans descended upon the event, creating queues snaking down the road. Mick Thomson spent over 4 hours of signing flyers, guitars, masks and more adding to the excitement before the band hit the stage the following night at the Birmingham Arena and hopefully some incredible personal memories for those who made it.

This culminated with 25+ pieces of coverage over 500 social shares with an estimated online readership of 766 million*. A great exercise in fast moving music brand publicity, knowledge of the right avenues to pursue and contacts in those areas.
